Happy days:Re-lived

Those moments of ecstasy
Those moments of joy
Those moments of agony
Those moments of ego
Those moments of togetherness
Those moments of friendship
Those moments of weirdness
Those moments of anxiety
Those moments of competition
Those moments of bitter faces
Those moments of success
Those moments of carelessness
Those moments of resonant laughter
Those moments of tender love stories
Those moments of silly fights
Those moments of creative gossips
Those moments of blabber

Yes,we re-lived them all. My department and Pondicherry University gave back all those moments which we can never forget. Smothered with the wonderful memories and great experiences that we had, we were not willing to part from the Home away from Home.

Everything came back to life. The walls that we scribbled on, The posters that we tagged along, The office room that we religiously went into every other day, The non-sense professor's room into which everyone was afraid to go to. Each had something to tell us. We cherished all those wonderful times.

Never know if we will ever step into the University again together and never know if we will go at all. But there is this wonderful sketch that had been imprinted on our hearts forever. The nostalgia will always be there whatever happens. In case you are wondering if it is about just the liquid matter (Pondy is famous, I know), it is not that way. The matter is very solid with great foundations for a life to be lived for long even after moving away from the place.

I am sure that many of you also feel the same about the Places where U studied. Do share your experiences. After all, the sense of belongingness is what drives one forward.

When do I get irriatated? :)

Well,One of my friends tagged me loooooooooonnnnnnnnngggggggggg time ago about the things that irritate me quickly. I have totally forgotten about that and today when I was debating with myself about what to post next, I am suddenly reminded of this topic. I am sorry for the late posting, Prabodh. But atleast now I am doing it. Here I go

1. Hero Worship: People who love a particular thing/ hero/ cricketer etc.. irritate me very soon. Whatever we talk, they bring it to this topic and start talking about it. Remember the essay-writing story in which a student gets prepared only about Cow?

2. Free advice: Easiest thing to do in this world; might be helpful sometimes but some people tend to overuse this. I get vexed with these guys.

3. People who are overly curious about what I am doing are the ones who come next into the list.

4. When someone teaches me something in a real complex way and later when I find out that it could have been done in a much simpler way

5. People who bug me to switch to non-vegetarian for various reasons like I have to grow up and adjust to all kinds of situations/places; or I am skinny etc.. (Believe me, a few people tried to do some brainwash for me taking advantage of their position;of course they were not successful :D). I do agree that it happens in other way too like vegetarians asking the carnivores to change to being a veggi, but am not in that league. Its my choice whether I eat or not. Who are you to decide whats best for me? :)

6. People who cant take criticism but like to criticize others

7. And finally, When i have to wake up during those times I don have a need to; sigh!!

I am done and now I tag

Bringing back life into Life

No matter what we wanna do with life, there are a few things that simply cannot be changed. We can see people with fake smiles, smiling people with hearts hurt and people who are not what they actually are.Yes, we see people with occupational hazard (like me) too.

How can we stop analyzing the past, trying to figure out how exactly we feel about it.It is a bundle of complexities that we have/ had around us and it happen(ed/s) without notice. And at a later point of time, we regret it. What's the point? It is just self made agony.Trying to plan for the future, but my thoughts are taking me nowhere.

Insipid are the days in chicago and just flying. Trying to appreciate the beauty around but the countenance does not last long when I think that I have no company here to share.I wish that this vapidity does not last long. I will go back home soon and I wanna discuss with my family about what I am and what I am gonna do about it.After all,I cant be inured to this for long.

In this world,There are happy people too and am counting me in(ok, atleast trying to) for I am what all I have got!

Tell me Your Interpretations

Just a different attempt. I am not gonna tell you anything about this. You gotta tell me what it means. Let's see the creativity.

Autograph-Sweet Memories

I was home during the last week for an important occasion. Once am through with that, I was feeling so damn bored. Happened to clean up a few cupboards and found a couple of Autograph books lying inside. For a minute, I kept them aside but could not stop myself from opening 'em up and going through whats written inside. So, just started reading through.

The entire world today talks about Social networking and professional networking. But, we often tend to neglect the small network that we already built around us starting right from school days. The people who scribbled in my autograph books are classmates in my engineering days. But, I forgot most of the names barring a few(as I am still in touch with these people). I felt sorry and sad as many of them mentioned that I was a close fren to them (and I barely remember them???).

I was happy to see many comments about me and a few reminders of some funny incidents that happened. The memories that were brought back felt good. Some of the special notes smothered me and made me feel like a teenager again. But, when I just came out of the trance, all I noticed was that I dunno which part of the world many of these people are in.

The connections we make at various junctures in this journey of life will be pretty much out there for us even when we forget them. We just need to look inwards and see where we missed out. When you sit idle and do not know wat to do, the best way I think is to relive those moments of fun and joy (I hope everyone agrees that the happiest days of life are the student days) and try to do something for everyone you have had a connection with, may be like wishing an old fren on his birthday. Like someone says, How beautiful a day can be when kindness touches it?!

Good Bye Jacko!

It was a shock and I looked at it in utter disbelief. I was working late night and suddenly this news turns up. I just thought that someone was playing pranks but only to later realize that it was so true. The King of Pop dies of cardiac arrest.

He is the perfect example for being the epitome of success. Most Successful Entertainer of All Time, 13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career, and the sale of 750 million records worldwide, what else could you ask for? But again, there are stupendous heights that he achieved and unimaginable lows he fell into. Reminds me, there is something ordinary in everyone extra-ordinary.

Whatever were/ are the controversies and the shortcomings, no one can ever deny the fact that he was a great entertainer and he will remain that way in the hearts of countless number of fans. We miss you Jacko! May your soul rest in peace!
